This website
This site is static. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and collects nothing about you. The only requests it makes are for the files that draw the page.
The beta app
Crash and diagnostics data comes to us through TestFlight or Google Play, under whatever terms you already have with Apple or Google. If you grant location access, it is used on your device to place you on the map and measure your distance to the nearest train. Your location is never sent to our servers, and we have turned off the map SDK’s own location telemetry.
Who else is involved
Maps are rendered by Mapbox, so your device requests map tiles from Mapbox servers as you pan and zoom. Those requests carry the map area being viewed and standard network information such as your IP address. We disable Mapbox’s optional telemetry, so your device location is not reported to them.
Train positions and service alerts come from our own servers, which receive no personal data from your device — only a request for the current state of the system.
Feedback you send us
If you use the in-app feedback form, we receive what you type — a subject and description — along with your device operating system, and your email address if you choose to give one. We use it only to investigate the report and reply to you. Reports become issues in our private tracker.
What we never do
We do not sell data, run ads, build profiles, or track you across other apps. There is no account system, so there is nothing to leak.
Keeping and deleting data
Because there are no accounts, we hold nothing tied to you by default. The one exception is feedback you send us deliberately, which we keep while the report is open and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can recognise repeat issues. Ask us to delete a report and its contact details and we will, at the address below.
Uninstalling the app removes any location permission you granted and everything the app stored on your device.
